Who is the Warren Washington CARE Center?
The mission of the Warren-Washington C.A.R.E. Center is to reduce the harm a child may face by using a trauma-informed, team approach during child abuse investigations. The C.A.R.E. Center is a core part of the community’s response to fighting child abuse and making sure that families in Warren and Washington counties receive the services they need to cope and heal. All of our services are free.
Why are we raising funds?
We are raising funds to replace our outdated forensic interviewing equipment. The last time this equipment was updated was 13 years ago and since then, forensic interviewing technology has made significant advancements. We received several quotes from companies specializing in this field and they have estimated a cost of around $15,000.00 to replace our existing system. The cost of this equipment is not cheap, but it is necessary to ensure that our children receive the state-of-the-art services they deserve following a traumatic experience! We need our community to help us meet our goal!
